9 a.m. Friday’s late-night 4.5-magnitude earthquake, centered near South San Gabriel approximately 12 miles east of campus, caused no damage and no interruption of services at Occidental.

5:10 p.m.Ìý The Saddleridge fire, located about 20 miles northwest of the swagÍâÁ÷ campus on the northern edge of the San Fernando Valley, continues to burn to the north and west, carrying it away from swagÍâÁ÷.
